TRAINING CONCEPT
All training at the academy can be divided into four types: group training, special classes, physical training, theory and psychological training.
Group training sessions
Group training sessions involve all players on the team and usually two coaches. A group training session lasts between 60 minutes for the youngest players and 90 minutes for the oldest players. It is divided into four parts, always with balls: warm-up, technical part, main part and final part. The main focus of group training is to practise team interactions during the game (attack, defence, transition from defence to attack, transition from attack to defence, standard situations).
Special training
A special feature of special training sessions is that four to six people - Academy coaches and first team players from the Club - work with the team. As a rule, a group of players (30 people) is divided into four or five groups, in which certain football skills are practised: passing the ball, receiving the ball, head shots, crosses from the flanks, deceptive movements, two-on-one, three-on-two, etc. In this way, more attention is given to the players by the coaches: the groups are small and the coach can concentrate on each player.
Physical training
Physical training sessions are either separate from the main group training sessions or are included as one part of the boys' training. The physical preparation coach conducts the individual sessions and the head coach of the team conducts the group training sessions.
Theoretical classroom sessions
In addition to tactical lessons on the football pitch, there are also lessons for teams in the theory room. These can be divided into three types:
- game set-up;
- game analysis;
- Thematic training sessions.
Theoretical training room has the entire team and the coaches who announce the line-up and explain the tactics to the players. A projector, a screen, a magnetic board, a flip chart are used for this. During the breakdown of the game, the coaches point out mistakes and correct actions to the players, ask them to explain how mistakes could have been avoided, and determine the focus for the training week in preparation for the next game. During thematic sessions, the coaches gather either the whole team or groups of players by role and discuss certain aspects of their game, using video footage of moments involving them. These sessions are particularly effective because they allow the player to feel more relaxed when communicating with the coach.
Individual conversations
The academy coaches regularly have individual discussions with the players. As a rule, these conversations are held the day after the game, the day before the game, after the player returns from the youth team and when necessary. During these conversations, the coach, by asking questions to the player, tries to understand what worries him, offers him solutions to problems, tries to set him up for a professional attitude to sports work, etc.
